Security for Mobile Devices

Mobile devices have made a significant impact on our lives.  Now they are planting a strong foothold in our corporate environments and firms.  How does your company handle BYOD (Bring Your Own Device)?  What issues must be addressed when allowing firm data on personal devices?  Les Nettleton, Director of Information Technology Services for Bourgeois Bennett, CPAs and Consultants, will explore with us the risks associated with integrating mobile devices into the business world and lay out an action plan to implement, both at the business level and the personal level.

About the speaker:
Les Nettleton has worked for Bourgeois Bennett for 32 years, currently serving as Director of Information Technology Services.  He has specialized experience in the areas of systems analysis, technology management consulting, policy development, both information systems and security training, and database management. He regularly addresses academic, community and professional groups and organizations, locally and nationally, on a variety of technology topics.  Socially, Les is actively involved with numerous organizations, including the Boy Scouts of America, Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans, and the St. Catherine of Siena Pastoral Council, and he is the keyboardist for the New Orleans based band, “The Rockenbraughs.”  Les maintains memberships in the Technology Sections of the AICPA and of AGN North America, an international association of 200 accounting and consulting firms.
